Christmas is around the corner and here I am trying to make some cards to send out to my family and friends!  I came across this style of card on a fellow Stampin' Up demonstrators blog and thought I would change it up a bit and use it for my Christmas card list.  I used the new season of style designer paper that Stampin' Up has out and I hear that the color Crumb Cake is the current "in" color!  I choose one of our ornament punches but you could use anything with the Christmas theme and your favorite Christmas saying.  Check out our holiday catalog with a great selection of holiday stamps and papers.  Don't forget to check out our clearance rack!  Stampin' Up products are up to 80% off.  Hurry, only while supplies last.  Hit the button to the right to check out these great deals on my website.  Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Angry Birds

After seeing so many Angry Bird items this year, I came across a cute card made mostly from punches.  My friend Amanda got me hooked on punch art so I am always looking for fun things to make out of our Stampin' Up punches.  Although my bird doesn't quit fit my usual size envelope because of his feathers, I still added them in for dimension.  Didn't he turn out cute?  I can't wait to send one to my great nephew Nate who is an Angry Bird fan.
The following punches were used.  The word window punch for the feathers.  The petite pennants punch for his beak. The 1 1/4 and 1 inch circle punches for his eyes along with the owl builder punch for the smallest part of his eyes.  As you increase the number of punches you have, you will be amazed at the number of things you can make from them.  The eyebrows were made with a 1 inch square punch.  You can use a 3 inch circle punch or our 3 inch circle die to cut out the lower section
of the card.
If you need a few punches to add to your collection, stop by my online store by clicking on the Shop Now button to the right.  Happy Punching!

I am back with a cute Thanksgiving card for the upcoming holidays.  This card is made with the Stampin' Up Oval Framelits and the Autumn Accents Bigz Die.  I also used the Polka dot embossing folder to add some dimension to the 'pumpkin'.  You can use any sentiment you want on the front depending on what you are using it for.  This fun card is an eye catcher and everyone you send it to will enjoy it.  To shop for the Framelits or Bigz Die, click on the shop now button to the right.

Trick or Treat File Folder Card

I just got my Stampin' Up order in yesterday and I couldn't wait to try out the new Envelope Punch Board.  You can make over 60 different sizes of envelopes with it!   I had a "play date" with my friend Amanda the other day and she showed me how to do these great cards that look like file folders! There are several videos out there on the web to show you how to do this.  The card looks difficult but it is really simple using the punch board.  I decorated mine with some retired Stampin' Up designer paper I had from last year.  The Trick or Treat stamp is one of four holiday designs in the 'Tags 4 You" stamp set on page 37 of the holiday catalog.  You can also buy the punch for these stamps as part of a bundle and save 15%!
Hope you enjoyed my "file folder" card.  If you would like to see more information on the Envelope Punch Board, click on the 'Shop at my Store Now" button to the left, click on Products then Tools in the left column.

Frankenstein Halloween Card

Now isn't he cute!  I can't say I came up with this card but I did find it online and thought it was sooo cute!  I am amazed with what people can come up with using the Stampin' Up products that they have.  The head is made from the Top Note Die!  Simply cut one out in green and one in black.  I used pear pizzazz in this card.  The black Top Note you will cut in half to make his hair.  Cut some jagged lines in the hair to come up with his bangs.

His eyes are made from punching out 2 circles in white with the 1" circle punch and  2 circles in
black with the 3/4" punch.  The eyelids are made with the 1" circle punch in the same green color.

Cut the circle in half for the eyelids.  The nose is also half a green 1" circle and like the eyelids, are attached with dimensionals to give them some pop!  I used my white gel pen to add the white of the eyes and a black marker to add the mouth and scar.  The background paper is some retired designer paper from Stampin' Up that I had leftover from last year.

If you have questions, leave me a comment.   Hope you enjoyed my "creation" as much as I enjoyed making it.  Happy Stamping!

Magnetic Platforms are in!

Just a reminder to anyone who is waiting on ordering the new Magnetic Platform from Stampin' Up, they are finally in!  I just ordered mine yesterday and if you have been waiting, now is the time before they sell out of them again!  I can't wait to be able to put down my dies and not have them moving around on my cardstock.  I used on at one of our other demonstrator's house and it was great.

If you want to check it out, hit my order now button on the right.   Stay tuned,  I will have a super cute Halloween card posted over the weekend.!  You will wait to check it out!  Til then ...  Happy Stamping!

This cards is a mixture of two of my favorite flower stamp sets, the new Flower Shop and the Mixed Bunch set.  These two are my favorites as they both have a matching punch that you can purchase to punch out the flowers!  No fussy cutting as I hear other demonstrators mention when they talk about hand cutting out stamp designs.  I used the Mixed Bunch for the background design and then the Flower Shop for the flowers on top.  I used Stampin' Ups dimensionals to give the top flowers some height.

The cute saying comes from the Chalk Talk stamp set.  It is one of many wonderful sayings in the set.  One of the others in this set include the Happy Big Day stamp which can be used for many occasions!  I love this one for the gift card sets I have been making for my family and friends.

I used one of my fav colors, Calypso Coral on this card.  It reminds me a lot of my house I used to    have in Key Largo, FL which was coral in color with teal trim!  Hey, it was the Florida Keys!  No
drab browns here!!!!!

Today I wanted to make a masculine card so I had out my " Need for Speed" stamp set with the sports car, boat, airplane  and ATV.  I recently won in  a contest the new stamp set "Yippee-Skippee" and wanted to use one of the sayings from it.  The one I choose just jumped out at me.  I had to agree that you can never have too much happy!  I thought this was a good saying for a lot of things including birthdays, promotions, or whatever could make you happy.

I added the sports car at the bottom but you could put anything there.  I used the die cut tag from the "Chalk Talk" bundle to attach the saying to the ribbon like it was a gift tag.

I hope this card inspires you to create something yourself.  Happy Stamping!

Everyone is talking about all the wonderful new products Stampin' Up has in its new catalog.  Last week I introduced you to the Chalk Talk Bundle with the Happy Big Day stamp.
This is another stamp from the same set.
'Just a little something for a very special someone' is in the shape of a tag.  If you buy the bundle, you get the die cut that matches it to make cutting it out a breeze!  I added a little ribbon and a button to make a hanger.  Along the bottom I added another piece of ribbon and then added some new "Candy Dots".  Candy dots come in all the same colors as our ink pads and can be added directly to the cards as I did on this one or you can put them on brads!  I used one of our colorful designer papers for the background layer.
It is so easy to make cards when you use your creativity and Stampin' Up's products!
Check out my website by clicking the button on the right.  Happy Stamping!

Happy Big Day!

Well you can see I am still playing with my Flower Shop stamp set!  Love those pansies and the matching punch!  But I also got out the new Chalk Talk bundle from the new catalog to add to it.   The Chalk Talk Bundle includes the stamp set and the die cut set to cut out the cute stamps!  I used the stamp 'Happy Big Day' from the set and cut it out with the matching die cut.  I then layered it on one of the other die cuts that came with the set.  I added a few brads for a little bling.  I chose some matching designer paper for the background and then punch out a few more pansies in coordinating colors.

This is one of the many wonderful things about Stampin' Up's products; they coordinate together!  Ink pads, designer paper, ribbon and other accessories can be purchased in the same colors to help you coordinate it all.  That is why it is so simple to come up with such cute cards.  Hey, if I can do it,
so can you!

Take a browse through our new catalog and check out all the products.  There are kits that come with everything you need to make some cards and all you have to do is put the pieces together.  They are really simple and we LOVE simple!

Flower Shop

Here goes!  My favorite new item from the 2013 - 2014 catalog is the Flower Shop stamp set with the matching pansy punch!  In this card I use two of the different styles of  pansies  in the stamp set.  Stampin' Up makes it sooooo easy to make beautiful pansies with the matching punch!  I added a few dimensionals behind the flowers and they appear to be popping out at you!

I used some designer paper for the background.  Right now there is a sale going on at Stampin' Up.  Buy three designer paper packs and get a fourth one free!  Just click the button on the right to shop at my website and check out all the great deals going on.  The sale ends soon so check it out!

Pinwheel card

No excuses!  It has been a month since my last post!  Here is a fun card I made with the Sizzlits S Die that makes a little pinwheel fast and easy!
Add a brad in the center and you are ready to spin!  The Die is in our Spring catalog and sells for only $4.95!  Add a little toothpick and now it is on a
stick.  Soo many uses for it.

It is less than a week and the new Stampin' Up catalog will be available and online!  Don't forget to check out the Retired lists that are posted online.  Once

Get well soon!

Hi Everyone!  This week's project had me thinking Get Well cards which I didn't have any of.
I recently purchased the Stampin' Up stamp set "Thoughts & Prayers" because I also needed a few sympathy cards to have on hand.   This two box set includes eight stamps, two which are in my card above, for $25.95 (wood) or $18.95 (clear).

In this card I used the Pear Pizzazz ink color which was an In Color and is returning in our upcoming new catalog as a Subtles color.  I used my Oval Framelits collection to do the layering and added a ribbon on the bottom for more background.  I also added some little pearls to the tree which I thought really gave it some life!

All these wonderful products can be purchased from my website by clicking on the above button to the right.  The new Stampin' Up catalog will be coming out May 31st with new ideas and inspiration for all of us who love to stamp!  Stay tuned for more information.

Sorry it has been so long but with working seven days a week, I find I don't has as much time as I would like to make cards!  Wanting to get something online, I took the opportunity to post one of the 'simply' cards I just made for some friends.  They were looking for cards that they could use for many occasions.

I recently purchased one of the single stamps that Stampin' Up offers.  This one, Hello, Hello is a great one for those occasions when you want to send a note to someone or when you have to mail someone something and you want to include a card.  I did this card in Elegant Eggplant, a dark purple.  I also made cards in Calypso Coral and Island Indigo.

I hope to have more posted this week.  Stand by!  I promise to do better!

Sunshine

This week end has been wonderful!  The sun has been out and maybe Spring is really here! This inspired me to bring out my 'Feel Goods' stamp set which includes the above stamp.  I thought it made a wonderful match for this designer paper and the Summer Starfruit  'In Color' Inks.  I wanted to keep it simple so the added ribbon and bow finished off the card nicely.

The 'Feel Goods' stamp set is from our Spring Catalog and has a total of  five stamps with wonderful sayings such as the one above.  Check them out on my website by clicking on the 'Shop Online Now' button the the right.   Check out the whole line of Stampin' Up products and consider joining our group of demonstrators.  Just the discount on your purchases makes it worth it and you can stop at any time!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Kindness

I just love the Heard from the Heart stamp set which includes the above stamp!  When I started this card I didn't have a plan to what it would look like and I just kept going.

I really like the print poetry pack which comes with 48 two sided prints.  They are approx 5x7 and are easy to cut down for a card front.  I have to say that I am really liking the Summer Starfruit color which is one of Stampin' Up's In Colors.  The green paper is also from the print poetry pack!
I added in a little ribbon to bring out the Raspberry Ripple in the designer paper.

Whenever I use this stamp set with the flowing lines I have to add some brads at the ends.
I hoped you enjoyed the card as much as I enjoyed making it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy day to you!

I thought this stamp was so cute that I added a sentiment and made another card with it!  This card definitely lives up to 'simply'.  I used some of the designer paper from Sycamore Street in my favorite Calypso Coral to layer the card.  I then added the sentiment "happy day to you" below the girl and used the Framelits Oval Collection to cut them out with my Big Shot.    I added a pretty ribbon and bow and viola, a simply beautiful card!

Stampin' Up really takes the difficulty out of making cards.  Take a moment to check out our catalog.  Once you try out a couple of our stamps and punches, you will realize how simple it really can be to make the most beautiful cards.

Hey everyone!  Sorry that I haven't posted recently but I am back and feeling Spring in the air!  With Easter a few weeks away, I thought I would pull out one of my Easter stamp sets from Stampin' Up.  This one is called Easter Blossoms and it has six different stamps, one being the above girl with a Easter Basket.

I wanted the card to be bright and colorful so I used my Old Olive, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight Polka Dot Designer paper along with the Old Olive coordinating ink to get this card to "pop".  I wanted to add some bling to the card so I added a couple of pearls to the butterfly and added a little pink button to the bouquet the little girl is holding.  To add some more color, I colored in the Easter Eggs in her basket with my marker set.

I made the frames from the Stampin' Up Framelits Label Collection.  These dies make layering so easy and simple.  And who doesn't like simple when it comes to making something?

All these items can be purchased at my Stampin' Up website.  Just click the "Order Stampin Up Online" button to the right and check out all the great products we have for making cards simply.  Remember our Sale-A-Bration is ending March 22, so until then with every $50 purchase you get to choose a few gift.  Check out the free items you get to choose from by clicking on the "Free Products" button to the right.

Busy, busy...

Sorry to keep everyone waiting for another post.  I hope to have something up by the end of the week.  Either another challenge or just another card.  Work has been keeping me busy so I will force myself to take a break and be "creative" !  Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday, March 3, 2013

Today I entered the Try Stampin on Tuesday challenge.  Here's their sketch.

Here's my Blooming Birthday card that I made from the sketch.

I used the colorful Sycamore Street paper along with the Blooming with Kindness and Beautiful Birthday stamps from Stampin' Up.  I added a little butterfly to the flower using our butterfly punch.  A piece of our ribbon added a nice break in the solid color.

Thanks for checking out my blog.  Remember to check out Stampin' Up's

Flower Power

Nothing like bright colors and flowers to say "SPRING".  I used another designer paper from the Sycamore Street paper pack and did the background with Island Indigo paper embossed with the Fancy Fan Folder.  It really adds dimension to the background of the card.

I used the Triple Treat Flower stamp and punched them out with the Fancy Flower Punch. This is one of the many stamps and punches that coordinate together.  I love being able to stamp a design and having a punch to cut it out!  I added some dimensionals and put a large brad in the middle for the centers of the flowers.

You can add any sentiment to the bottom but I think "To My Friend" says it all.

I used a sketch fromThe Paper Player.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Stamping!

I just can't seem to stay away from the bright colorful patterns of the Sale-A-Bration Sycamore Street Designer Paper.  This is one of the free packs you can get with a $50 purchase until March 22nd.  Not only can you get the cute paper for free but there is also a matching button and ribbon set that you can also get free with a $50 purchase.

The "to my friend" stamp is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set that has six phrases that include "WOW you're the best", "happy day to you", "here's to you", "you are simply wonderful" and "congratulations on your new baby".

I look forward to giving this card to a friend because I know it will brighten their day!  If you like any of these products, check out my website by clicking on the button on the right side of the page and check out all the great products that Stampin' Up has to offer.

Owl card

Sometimes it takes a little incentive to get me stamping like an upcoming baby shower!  My niece Libby is due this June and she just loves Owls!  This motivated me to get out my Owl punch and do my first owl card.

I found this card online in a window version and I decided to keep it "simple" and skipped the window part.  What caught my eye was the cute leaves on top of the card.  This is made with a scallop punch and highlighted with some extra color.
It amazes me on how creative some people are with punches.  Although it is a little time consuming putting together the owls, you can "dress" them up for any celebration!

Check out my website for the Owl punch and many other creative punches that Stampin' Up has.  They make being creative, really SIMPLE!  Just click on the button on the right side and start shopping.

Until next time, thanks for stopping by!

faux pinwheel

Hey stampers!  Today I have a cute card that I saw another Stampin' Up demonstrator do.  Credit goes to Dawn Olchefske who showed me how to make this adorable card.  I used the cute Specialty Sweet Shop designer paper that is now on sale in our Clearance rack and made 1 1/4" squares.   Rotating the squares around with a coordinating color gives the illusion of a pinwheel. The brad in the middle is also in the clearance rack and is called Jelly Bean Sweet Shop brads.  This design can be used for any occasion card from birthday to thank you.

I also choose to embossed the coordinating squares and do a little embossing on the bottom.   You can use any designer paper and coordinate it with matching colors.  The combinations are endless!

Remember, there is still a few days left of our Sale-A-Bration going on.  With every $50 purchase you get to choose a free gift.  Just click on the link to the right and you will be directed to my website.

I hope you enjoyed this card and if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Patio Party

Spring is right around the corner so I thought I would pull out some designer paper and make something colorful.  I decided on the Patio Party paper and got out my Apothecary Accents framelits.  I used the "You're Amazing Happy Birthday" stamp.  This is one of several stamps that are now being offered for purchase individually by Stampin' Up.

I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack to add the cute little piercings around the framelits.  If you would like more information on these products or to shop my online store, click the "Order Stampin' Up Online" button on the right.

Studio 1 Stampers

What could be more fun than spending an evening with a group of wonderful people who LOVE to stamp!!  That is exactly what I did Thursday night with the Studio 1 Stampers.  Check out the wonderful card above.  This was one of several cards we made with the free products you can get during the Stampin Up's Sale-A-Bration going on right now.

I was amazed at how simple and fast a few of the cards were to make!  All it takes is a few cards that are simple and fun to make, then just change out the verse on it and you are set for any occasion!  Change the colors and you have another card.  What could be easier?

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Stamping!

Whole Latte Love

Since everyone is enjoying seeing the stamps from the Patterned Occasions stamp set that you get free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration, I couldn't resist posting one more card with another stamp from the set.

"Whole Latte Love " is the perfect way to say to that coffee loving friend that they mean alot to you!  I used Cherry Cobbler ink along with the polka dot Cherry Cobbler designer paper.  I used the Floral Framelits to cut out the layers in Very Vanilla and Early Espresso. I thought the ribbon and brad at the bottom "dressed up" the card.

Happy Birthday Cupcake

I had so many compliments on the Thanks a Ton card that I decided to feature another one of the cute stamps from the Sale-A-Bration promotion.  This is another of the stamps in the Patterned Occasions stamp set that you can get free with a $50 order.

What little girl doesn't like pink and cupcakes?  I know my great niece Sarah does!  The color of the paper and ink is Melon Mambo from the Brights Collection.  I love this color!

Did you notice the embossing on the card?  Embossing really makes a card stand out and it is so easy to do.  This embossing folder is Stampin Up's Fancy Fan.  It really makes a nice background for the card.  I again used the Labels Collection Framelit set to layer the cute cupcake stamp.
The ribbon on the bottom is the 5/8" Organza ribbon.  It adds a nice finishing touch to the card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  I appreciate any comments!

thanks a ton!

In the above card I also used the Big Shot Framelits Labels Collection to make the really cool frame around the elephant.  The Framelits can be used for so many different products.  You get 6 different sizes that you can layer like I did above or just use one to frame a cute stamp.

Hope you all enjoyed my "Thanks a Ton" card.  I appreciate you stopping by!

Now that I have a blog it has motivated me to keep my creative thoughts going, as simple as they may be.  With Valentines around the corner, I have hearts on my mine and just made a little 3 x 3 card I can give to friends on Valentines Day.  Simple and quick, these use the I heart hearts stamp set from Stampin' Up and the Heart to Heart punch which allows you to punch the stamps out after you stamp them for a wonderful 3-D effect when you attach them with dimensionals.  The phrase is from the Stampin' Up stamp set A Word For You.  Hope you enjoy this simply and quick Valentine!

Here we go.  Thanks to all my friends who helped me set up my new blog!  This is my first time blogging so I hope I do not bore anyone!
